Emilia
They say love and hate are the same feelings experienced under different circumstances, and it’s true. The man who comes to me in my dreams also haunts me in my nightmares. He is a brilliant lawyer. A skilled criminal. A beautiful liar. A bully and a savior, a monster and a lover.
Ten years ago, he made me run away from the small town where we lived. Now, he came for me in New York, and he isn’t leaving until he takes me with him.
Vicious
She is a starving artist. Pretty and evasive like cherry blossom. Ten years ago, she barged into my life unannounced and turned everything upside down. She paid the price.
Emilia LeBlanc is completely off-limits, my best friend’s ex-girlfriend. The woman who knows my darkest secret, and the daughter of the cheap Help we hired to take care of our estate. That should deter me from chasing her, but it doesn’t. So she hates me. Big fucking deal. She better get used to me.

“You were always mine” ⭐️

First of all, I’m ecstatic my rating hasn’t changed after two years since I first read this book and especially after the disaster with Pretty Reckless.

I feel like I’m a little late to the party, since this book already has about 4600 reviews on Goodreads only, but I forget my fairy tales, so this is more of a personal review, to remember Vicious later on.
Yes, I still love Vicious and I don’t regret it for a second. He isn’t even that vicious, come to think of it.

I didn’t think for one second that he’s a sociopath.
I never believed the cruel things he said.
I knew that behind his stone mask he had tons of feelings.
I knew he has hurting badly, but didn’t share it with anyone else.
I knew that they were destined to be together and nothing else mattered.
I would be drawn to him just as badly as Emilia was. I would also risk my heart and soul for him, just like Emilia did.
You simply don’t stand a chance with a guy like that.

Maybe all these thoughts are because I knew the(ir) story and everything else that happened in the series. For crying out loud, we’re about to read their kid’s story in Angry God.

So, that’s that.
Vicious, you beautiful, damaged bastard, you’ll forever be in my heart!
