Raised to rule, bred to lead and weaned on a diet of ruthless ambition. In a world of haves and have nots, my family has it all, and I want nothing to do with it.
My path takes me far from home and paints me as the black sheep. At odds with my father, I’m determined to build my own empire. I have rules, but Lennix Hunter is the exception to every one of them. From the moment we meet, something sparks between us. But my family stole from hers and my father is the man she hates most. I lied to have her, and would do anything to keep her. Though she tries to hate me, too, the inexorable pull between us will not be denied.
And neither will I.

Star shaped impression ⭐️

“Lennix Moon Hunter has left more than an impression. She’s left her mark on me. And it’s shaped like a star. ⭐️”

I don’t know about you, but when I have 31 highlighted notes in a book, for me it’s clear that it’s something worthy of a five star review. Not even words like incredible or awesome can describe this masterpiece.

My sweet friend Paulette left me a comment and said she hoped a box of tissues for this one. Man, was she right! I shed some tears, learned a lot, fell in love, shattered my heart and soul, but ultimately loooveeeed this story so much, I can’t even tell you!

Maxim Kingmaker Cade and Lennix Moon Hunter. They meet when she was seventeen years old, while protesting against an oil pipeline that would ruin a Native – American rez. He was there with his father, a ruthless oil baron that couldn’t care less about destroying people lives.

“On rare occasion, you come across someone who just gets you, and you don’t have to figure out your place. Wherever you are is okay.“

“She’s a straight line of color sketched into the desert landscape, transformed by a glamor of dust and sunlight.”

Fast forward four years and fate decides it’s time for them to meet again, in Amsterdam. She was there on vacation with her friends and he was studying. They only had a week together, but it was more than enough to truly fall in love and have their hearts glued together forever.

“If a kiss has a color, this one is the muted shades of the sky overhead, a ménage à trois of midnight and indigo and moonshine silver. If a kiss has a sound, this one is the concert of our breaths and sighs and moans. If a kiss has a taste, it tastes like this. Hunger flavored with yearning and spiced with desperation. With bites and growls and tender licks and soothing whimpers. Perfectly served portions of sweet and scorching.”

Unfortunately, they both have bigger plans for their lives. He wanted to save the planet and she was just starting to change the world. He left for an expedition to Antarctica and she began her career in politics. I don’t want to give you any more details on how and why, but they’re again separated, this time for a decade. I would say that’s when the story starts, but that’s not true.

“I’ve spent the last ten years getting what I want, not because I’m a Cade, but because I work harder than everyone else. I keep working after everyone else has gone home. I take risks no one else even considers. I don’t give up on seemingly lost causes. When I want something, really want something, I’ll do whatever I have to until I have it.”

Count your lucky stars for finding about this book now, when the second part of this duet has been also published! It ends with a horrific cliffhanger and I’m sure I wouldn’t have survived the wait.
This story is so much more than an unbelievable love story. It’s eye-opening on the lives of Native-Americans and it’s a lesson on the importance of fighting environmental pollution. There’s also that part of the story that teaches you about patience, working hard for your goals, ambition and trusting fate with the matters of your heart.

“There’s a language between our heartbeats I have no translation for—no words, just a thumping communion.”

Be smart, bold and trust me once again when I tell you you have to read this book! It’s like nothing you’ve read before! It’s unique and you won’t be able to put it down.
