Ally Nightingale has secrets. Secrets she doesn't even share with the Rock Chicks. But two men know what she's up to. One has her back. The other has her heart, but he doesn't know it.
As Ally rewinds the last year of her life, she knows two things. One, she’s never going to get what every Rock Chick should have—her own Hot Bunch guy. And two, she’s a Nightingale through and through. She just isn’t sure what to do about that.
But as her secrets are revealed, the men in her life react. Darius Tucker, a lifelong friend, as usual takes her back. Ren Zano, the man she loves, isn’t quite so sure. The Rock Chicks, Hot Bunch and the entire gang at Fortnum’s weigh in, and a Rock Chick Revolution starts brewing.
It’s up to Ally to control it and prove what she knows down to her bones.
She’s a Rock Chick, she deserves her hot guy and she’s going to keep the one she wants…
Because she’s a Nightingale.

I have so many things to say, I don’t know where to start. I really don’t want to make a mess of this review, because it was the greatest book I read so far this year. So I’m trying to gather my thoughts and make it righteous .
It couldn’t have been a more perfect ending for this series. We get the most amazing closure we could ask for after 8 books and after we thought things couldn’t get any better, but they did. I have been waiting for Ally’s story since book 2, i think, because I felt like she was the one for me. My favorite of all, the Rock Chick of all Rock Chicks. Ally, chickie, i wanna be exactly like you when i grow up!
Rock Chick Revolution is Ally’s & Ren’s story. We knew Ren, because he had a thing for Luke’s Ava, we knew he was a really good guy (even if his family was Italian Americans and his Uncle Vito was a crime boss). Their story is simple: they hook up for a year as fuck buddies, at some point Ren mentioned he wanted more, Ally always said no to that, but during a fight they laid the cards on the table and they ended up together together and forever. The story is much more complicated than this, trust me. This is the shortest version possible of it. If you need more details, click here: View Spoiler »As I said, Ren had a thing for Ava. At some point, Ren got into a fight with Luke in the parking lot of a club with almost everyone present. After they were done, Ally thought she could offer Ren some support and took him out of there to have a drink and clean his bruised face. That drink turned into a night of fun, where they both forgot how Ren fought Luke for Ava. They ended up together at his place, she spent the most amazing night of her life, but unfortunately, in the morning, still asleep, while spooning her with his face in her neck, Ren mentioned Ava’s name. Heartbreaking moment for Ally, she got out of there. He didn’t know he did that, of course. Being the badass Rock Chick she was, she decided not to show any sign of bleeding heart, so she proposed Ren to be fuck buddies and nothing more. The problem was that there was more and at some point it couldn’t be denied anymore by any of them. « Hide Spoiler.
This is the romance part. The action part is again, the most amazing of all, as Ally continues what she and Indy started in the first book of the series, meaning being a badass Rock Chick, playing PI around Denver. Though truth be said Ally wasn’t playing. She is a Nightingale, so by definition she was really smart and really good at what she did. With a few cases and a little personal drama, here we have our moments of badass action from the Hot Bunch and again, the most Rock Chick of the Rock Chicks. And it was awesome! Or righteous, as Ally would say.
Now, I after I finished reading all 8 books of this series, i feel like this one was more like the final chapter of my perfect fairytale. We have absolutely everyone involved, every zany, wonderful, loving character”, meaning: Indy & Lee Nightingale, Eddie Chavez & Jet, Hank Nightingale & Roxie, Jules & Vance, Ava & Luke, Stella & Mace, Hector & Saddie. Tex and Nancy, Marcus & Daisy, Roam & Sniff, Malcom & Kitty Sue Nightingale, Tom – Indy’s dad and his girlfriend Lana – Mace’s mom, Tod & Stevie, Buddy and Ralphie, Smithie & LaTeesha, Annette and Jason, Jules’s uncle Nick, May, Jimmy Marker, Brody, Monty, Matt, Ike, Jack and Bobby, Blanca, Rosa, Carlos, Elena and Gloria. Dom and Sissy, Vito and Angela, Willie Moses, Brian Bond, Darius, Dorothea, Duke, Dolores, Stella’s bad, Liam Edward and Malia.
A motley crew of cops and crooks, bounty hunters and baristas, PIs and rock stars, hot guys and Rock Chicks.”
You love them all and feel involved in their lives. It’s impossible not to do all that after spending so much time with all of them. Also, because KA made them so real, that you feel like you know them very well, because they’re your friends and family. I experienced emotions and jubilation. I danced, I giggled, I grinned, my heart broke so many times i can’t even count, I rolled on the floor laughing, i got angry, but most important of all, these books made me feel alive.
There are a million other things I could tell you about this book/series. I could show you my favorite quotes, use gifs and other graphics, but it would never be enough to describe the greatness of this story. You have to trust me and all the other readers that made Kristen Ashley a best seller author and also the average rating of 4.46★ coming from 18,657 ratings and 1,680 other reviews. And all these are just for Rock Chick 8 and only on Goodreads.
No matter how old we get, we always need to believe in fairytales.”
That being said, if you haven’t started this series yet, you’re one big fool. Sorry, but it’s true. You don’t even know what you’re missing. I might not be very good at writing my reviews, but these books are the shit!
