Series: L.A. Liaisons #1
“Oh jeez. I’ve turned into a sappy ball of mush.”
That’s all Brooke Blaine’s fault with her awesome Licked.
I’m so glad one of my Goodreads friends reviewed first, because she said something like “i hate love triangles, but this is different.”. So she made me really curious. I’m not a fan of those either, and it’s really easy to screw up a book by having the heroine constantly asking herself “oh, who do i choose?” or any other bullshit like that. But guys, this book is definitely different and totally worth buying it.
If I were truly honest with myself, which guy would I choose? The man I’d always wanted? Or the man I’d never forget?”
Be honest. This question might have popped up in your head too. But first, let me tell you a little bit about it. Ryleigh & Hunter & Cameron. That’s your love triangle. Well, in my opinion is not worth considering this a triangle, because Cameron is definitely out of the question. You’ll get that feeling 5% through the book.
Ryleigh had a crush on Cameron since she was 15.
I’d dreamed about being the girl in Cameron Mathis’s bed for so many times that i’d gone through vibrator batteries like water.”
Now, ten year later, they meet again at their high-school reunion and he seems interested in her. Since she dreamed all her life about this moment, you can imagine how happy she is that he finally noticed her and wants to date her, kiss her blah blah blah. The only problem is that fate comes in they way and before they even kiss, he leaves the country for a couple of weeks.
Enter hot stuff Hunter. He’s Cameron’s best friend and Ryleigh’s new contractor. Well, you can call him Mr. Right For Ryleigh. You can feel their attraction and their chemistry all the way through your kindle. It’s off the charts man, I’m telling you. So basically, that’s why i don’t consider it a love triangle and it wasn’t hard for Ryleigh to decide either, since you have a nice man – but don’t feel anything around him and a super hot bad boy that makes your ovaries explode or something.
He looked…… Well. Fucking hot. Not that I had noticed.”
Now, if you want a taste of:
– Slap My Ass and Call Me Sally boozy shake or
– Nibble My Nuts shake or
– Up-the-Butt-er Pecan or
– Cookie Dil-dough or
– Triple Nipple Fudge or
– Stroke ‘n Poke
You absolutely have to read this book. Because besides all this, it’s LYAO funny, mushy, sappy, a little sad (my heart didn’t break, but it cracked a bit), sexy as hell, original and you’ll love it so much.
And you have a strong candidate for “Best Book Boyfriend” in Hunter. Especially when he says something like:
Ryleigh? I’m keeping you.”.
Oh, and after reading about Ryleigh and her ice creamery & boozery business, I decided that it’s amazing to read about successful business owners with creative ideas, strong, smart and inspiring. All that + hot sexy guys, of course to complete My Pink Fairytale.
