On the Island by Tracey Garvis-Graves

On the Island by Tracey Garvis-Graves

What a great book! I must admit i was a little reluctant in the beginning. I didn’t think I will like it so much. I actually started reading it 5 days ago in an airplane trip I took, but I forgot about it until last night. After the first chapter, I couldn’t put it down. I went to sleep at 4am because of it.

I loved the fact that Tracey took her time building the story, not jumping to the romance part right from the first page.
You will find yourself in the end enjoying the small things we take for granted, like water in a glass or a shower. You won’t have a dull moment. Something happens in every chapter to keep your interest and your heart beating too fast. 🙂

I think there are many of us who read Daniel Defoe’s Robinson Crusoe when we were little, so having now an adult version of it, with a “Robinson Crusoe” +1 on a deserted island, i think it’s great.

I’m always happy when I read a romance, young adult, chick lit book which is refreshing, without cliches, with “something new”, something I haven’t read before in another book. This is one of those books!

Great job, Tracey Garvis-Graves! 🙂
